After several difficult years early in their formation, the Revs finally began to experience some success, becoming regular fixtures in the playoffs and making three consecutive MLS Cup finals. However, it seemed that New England were destined forever to be the bridesmaid and never the bride, making the MLS Cup Final on five separate occasions but never managing to come away with the trophy. And though the Revolution broke the regular season points record back in 2021, they’ve been a team mired in mediocrity for the better part of two decades.
