Fly Outs by focusing on lifting front knee

Lifting the front knee has improved many parts of my skating the last year or so. And the trick seems to be to lift it straight up, without changing your posture. Previously I have tended to "lean backwards" or shift my weight backwards every time I wanted to lift my front foot/knee. But now I focus on just lifting my front knee, and that helps a lot. Lifting the front knee that way feels way less sketchy and scary, and the results are great. In these Fly Outs, I also focus on lifting the front knee quickly and really high. And keeping it lifted as long as possible. So I crouch quite a lot before the transition, do a quick pump up and then focus on lifting my front knee straight up. That's basically it. When you get it right, the Fly Out almost happens by itself. But I still "get scared" from time to time and start doing bad stuff in the air.
