If you're looking for a Day Ticket on the middle area of the River Severn - The Brewery Inn section at Coalport is an excellent choice. See how to purchase a day ticket to fish this stretch, plus the parking and a look at a few of the pegs. This was a very brief session for me - 07:00 to around 11:00 during late Jul-23 with the river level up on average summer conditions due to heavy recent rainfall. I choose to fish the margin (due to conditions) which produces Barbel and Chub bites out of the nearside edge - Not the most prolific of sessions but still very enjoyable to get a few hours out on the bank. A few changes made to recent sessions, with shorter hook-lengths used, strong smelling hookbaits, no groundbait or feeders (due to the increased flow) with 3oz leads. The equipment used was as follows - Korum 1.75tc barbel rods Shimano ST4000 baitrunners ESP Synchro 12lb line Korda IQ 8lb Flurocarbon hooklengths Size 8 wide gap hooks Korum running rig setup Korum river pod The Brewery Inn is well worth a choice if you're looking for a day ticket in the Shrewsbury, Telford or Bridgnorth areas of the River Severn.
