RVE Modelling of Unidirectional Composites in ABAQUS

This video is a hands-on video showing how you can undertake a Representative Volume Element (RVE) modelling of unidirectional composites. We model here an E-glass fibre reinforced polypropylene matrix composite with a 35% fibre volume fraction. I have shown the setup of the random arrangement of the fibre within the matrix medium. The video explores five case studies which represent different uniaxial and shear load cases imposed on the RVE.
