(Arcade PCB) Primal Rage - Completed w/No Rounds Lost, 1CC 1080p60

Today I decided to record a direct feed 1CC of this game for a few reasons...but mainly because many people don't realize that Primal Rage is actually a good fighting game. Reasons people dismiss this game too quickly range from: they see the commands being something like hold X then quarter circle forward, and don't want to try an input method that differs from what they are used to. Ironically, the final revision of this game allows you to do Street Fighter style inputs or the original method the game shipped with. Another reason people don't give this game a proper try is because it is emulated very poorly. You really need to play this game at the arcade to experience it. The dedicated cabinet featured an awesome sound system, as well. There are a few half-decent ports, but none of them are arcade perfect. The closest ports are the Midway Arcade Treasure Vol 2 compilations, but even those aren't 100% accurate. Combos that work in that version may not work in the arcade, and vice versa (see Sauron's s.3+4 linking back into s.3). Also the blood effect is not good, where it appears as a white dusty "sweat" on both the consoles and in mame. Why I really enjoy the game, besides being able to control a raptor: 1) There were innovative concepts that appeared in this game that would go on to be fighting game staples, like short hops (which strangely only work in a 2-player match). 2) The combo system is VERY well developed and also balanced with it's patented "no-cheese" icon; this appears when you try to use a move multiple times and that would lead to an infinite combo. 3) There are also some crazy Easter Eggs, like the volleyball mini-game; this is activated by 2 non-cpu players knocking one of the human followers back and forth at least 10 times on the beach (Sauron's) stage. This footage is captured from a genuine Atari Primal Rage version 2.3 arcade PCB, and is played on default settings. My capture setup is as follows, if you're interested: Primal Rage v2.3 PCB - JNX Rage adapter - HAS v3.1 supergun connected via scart to OSSC set at line 3X mode, HDMI output to Avermedia Live Gamer HD capturing at 1080p/60fps. Thanks for watching! Thanks for watching!
