Making a Maple Scarf Joint Neck for my Acoustic Guitar | Building an Acoustic Guitar

With the body complete, I'm now ready to begin making the neck for my acoustic guitar. Since the back and sides are maple, I decided to make the neck from maple as well. I'm using hard maple for the neck shaft and bookmatched elm for the headplate. I used a 14 degree angle for the headstock and inlaid a small elm oval with the Hayley Guitars logo. The logo is surrounded by some maple purfling to match the body. There's still a ways to go, but I feel this is a great start to this neck. In the next episode of this build, I'll be cutting the mortise and tenon and making the fretboard. Stay tuned. -- Affiliate Links to Products Used -- Quick Grip Clamps - https://amzn.to/3TsOSuq Titebond Original Glue - https://amzn.to/45r0QLy Ridgid Cordless Router - https://amzn.to/3PYCr9I Single Edge Razor Blade - https://amzn.to/3LWFrlJ My favorite double sided tape. -    • The Best Double Sided Tape | 3M 9579 ...   Restoring the Wooden Parts on a Stanley #3 -    • Restoring a Hand Plane Tote | Quick a...   -- Visit My Website-- https://www.homebuiltworkshop.com/ -- Check Out My Handmade Guitars -- https://www.hayleyguitars.com/ -- Save 10% and get some awesome CA Glue from Starbond -- https://bit.ly/2WJmxbL -- Ways To Support HBW -- https://www.homebuiltworkshop.com/sup... -- My TeeSpring Store -- https://teespring.com/stores/home-bui... -- Check out my Amazon Shop -- https://www.amazon.com/shop/homebuilt... -- Join the HBW Built not Bought Facebook Group -- www.facebook.com/groups/homebuiltworkshop/ -----Connect on Social Media-----   / homebuiltshop     / homebuiltshop     / homebuiltshop      / homebuiltshop   ----- My Mailing Address ----- Home Built Workshop LLC P.O.
