Don’t overcomplicate your breastfeeding diet! - What a breastfeeding diet should REALLY look like!

Many people on the internet have introduced very complicated rules on what you should eat when you breastfeed. But the reality is: according to scientists, there is really nothing complicated about what you should eat when you breastfeed. So, in this video, Nathalie Kaufmann, Pregnancy & Birth Consultant and TCM Therapist, and Mathias Ritter, Researcher and Science Geek, introduce 4 simple rules based on which experts (REAL experts such as the US Committee on Nutritional Status During Pregnancy and Lactation) recommend choosing foods when you breastfeed. Instead of focusing on certain foods, Nathalie and Mathias introduce categories of foods to choose from each day for an optimal breastfeeding diet. Moreover, they discuss how many extra calories a day you need when you breastfeed and which nutrients your body most urgently needs. Next, they explain the two drinks that you should limit when you breastfeed your baby. And finally, they also discuss under which circumstances you should avoid foods when you breastfeed and why avoiding foods in general could do more harm than good. ------------------------- Sign up for our FREE General Health Baby Massage Course: https://learning.careaboutlittleones.... or Sign up for our Healthy Lions Club (fee-based): https://learning.careaboutlittleones.... ------------------------- SOURCES: Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine.
