This unusual 28-inch barrel gun stands out for the two detachable boxlocks. Designed for use when travelling this mechanism is an interesting feature for collectors. With 2 ½ chambers, about 1/4 and full choke borings it has a doll’s head extension. With engraved breeches, the frame, hinged base plate and patent top lever have bold scroll engraving surrounding scenes of game birds, retaining some original hardening colour and the maker’s name signed in gold.
