Nerf Elite 2.0 Commander RD-6 shown with some "tacti-cool" external mods and attachments. Most of the add-ons are suitable pieces scavenged from my plastic parts stash, modified with Dremel tool sanding bits and super-glued on the blaster. Some parts are factory-made, Nerf-specific, but also modded, e.g. buttstock was shortened 10cm (4") and glued together again... If you'd like to proceed with some serious performance mods, Commander RD-6 is not so good choice, since there's lots of solvent bonding inside - obviously a measure to cut down on production cost. Although there are some screws visible from the outside, you practically can't take the blaster apart without breaking some components of its shell and internal structure. This Commander has totally stock internal elements (AR's, spring, O-rings, lube) and operates on full-length darts only. The only performance mod on this Commander was inserting a thin plastic shim to reduce drum axial play and (theoretically) prevent air loss during firing, while drum still can rotate normally. FPS is most likely in the expected range for this model, which is around 70. Accuracy is somewhat disappointing with OEM Elite 2.0 darts, which tend to wobble in the air and/or unexpectedly deviate from the original trajectory after a few meters of flight. Solution for this might be filling the dart caps with hot glue to add some weight, as I did for my Stinger SD-1 "Tool" mod, which normally operates on both full length and half darts.
