The most demanding dentistry, is the replacement of one damaged front tooth with an implanted tooth and the other front tooth with a veneer. This lady discusses her journey and experience to have her front smile rebuilt to mimic her natural teeth in a otherwise beautiful smile that has everything on show. After a detailed discussion of her requirements and how she wanted her smile to look like like when she had lovely front teeth, a mockup of her smile was made using her old photographs. This mockup was then added to her existing teeth so that she could visualise and try out the "teeth" in the comfort of her house and show her family. Once she was happy with the planned end result, a digital guide was made to help optimal placement of the implant to achieve her desired outcome. The implant was placed with bone graft and skin graft to rebuild the lost tissue due to the infected natural tooth. A temporary veneer was made on the adjacent tooth. She was provided with a temporary bridge so that her day to day life would be normal. 4 months later, the implant was ready to use and the tissue was sculpted using waterlase laser technology to design the skin profile to mimic the surrounding teeth. This sped up the healing process and ment that she would achieve the final result quicker than the usual method of using a scalpel. A temporary implant crown was used to finese the exact skin profile (this was very important to this lady). Once she was happy with the design the final implant crown and adjacent veneer were custom made by a master ceramist. She had the opportunity to attend the ceramist so all of the colours and design of the natural adjacent teeth could be copied. The end result: a very happy lady with a confident natural smile.
