Muss i Denn [Rare recording of Swabian folk song] (1916)

-History: Muss i Denn is a German folk song, wich originated in South-East Germany from the Swabian dialect. The song was first made by Friedrich Silcher and made public in 1827. Fredrich was born in the kingdom of Württemberg. A nation that existed in modern day South-Eastern Germany, where the Swabian dialect is present. Before German unification, The German region consisted of many kingdoms and duchies. In fact, German unification did not dismantle these kingdoms. The kingdoms that joined the newly formed Empire of Germany in 1871, kept high autonomy inside of the Empire. Even the monarchs and royal families that ruled these kingdoms and duchies, were allowed to rule their rightfull part of the empire until the end of this system of governing after ww1. When ww1 had officially ended, multiple of these kingdoms like Bavaria and Württemberg broke free from the German Empire. This "freedom" was only shortly lived, since a year or later, these "rebel nations" joined back into Germany. -This record and the song: This record is very rare! it is recorded in 1916 and sang by Carl Schlegel.
