FCPX Auto Tracker Perspective Tutorial

FCPX Auto-Tracker Perspective Tutorial Store Page: https://store.pixelfilmstudios.com/pr... FXPX Auto-Tracker 1.1 Tutorial https://vimeo.com/257991575 Welcome to a FCPX Auto Tracker Perspective tutorial from Pixel Film Studios In this tutorial we’ll be going over two things. 1. Tracking Controls 2. Media Controls Let’s get started. Select a corresponding resolution that matches your media. For this example we will select the hd title effect preset located within the Titles Browser. Click and drag this preset over your media within the timeline and match up it’s length to the length of your media. Compound the media along with the title overlay, and then double click the compound to begin. We recommend compounding before your track to give you the option to retime the compound after if you decide to do so. To get a successful track we highly recommend for you to plan ahead with a clear shot in mind. This means that you are fully aware of what surface you are going to be tracking while filming, or you are selecting footage with a clear and visible surface throughout the shot. Tracking Controls Located under the pre-track options category you will find the search size slider. For scenes with large amounts of motion it is recommend to increase this slider’s value. For your average track we recommend this slider to be set at a value anywhere from ten to thirty. To enable perspective tracking we will need to have the perspective tracking check box on. It is only necessary for this to be unchecked if our camera is directly pointed at our subject matter with no apparent camera angle. The pixel smoothing slider blurs the surround pixels when collecting track data Note: The higher the value the slower the track will be. The pixel sharpening slider will increase contrast when collecting track data. For our first track we will leave these sliders at zero, and make adjustments later if we are not satisfied with our results. We’ll begin by scrubbing to the beginning or end of our clip to the point where our subject matter is most defined and track. Once our track is complete we’ll begin by scrubbing to the first point within our timeline, and then drag our playhead forward in time. If at any point in time you begin to see a track point start to drift we will need to stop and make further adjustments. By clicking on that track point and adjusting its location it will interpolate previous frames, and automatically animate to its new location. We are also provided with the option of key-framing our track points To key-frame a track point we will click on the key icon in the upper right corner of our screen. For more information on post tracking and keyframe deletion please visit out Auto-Tracker Tutorial within the description below. Media Controls To display our media we will first need to enable it by clicking on the toggle media check box within guide congtrols Once our tracking data is now complete, we can make further adjustments to our tracked media. Adjust the overall scale with the scale slider Offset your media’s rotation with rotation offset. Adjust the overall opacity with the opacity slider Offset your media’s x, y, and z, anchor point. To add a reflection continue to reflection controls Select your reflection source, blend mode, reflectivity, blur amount, and orientation.
