A variety of up-coming rock oriented bands were showcased live from small venues and broadcast simultaneously on television and radio during a 40-50 minute live performance (from Wikipedia). So... once again, I am bringing You the Late, Great Rory Gallagher doing a "Live" version of his original tune, "Do You Read Me" , off of his 1976 "Calling Card" L.P.; I know that You haven't done but one or Two reactions to this amazing artist, But.. he was just "SO" influential to everyone in the Blues/Rock genre & I always made it a point of doing covers of his stuff in every band that I have ever played in. His signature, beat up looking 1961 fender stratocaster, (which he bought on credit in 1963 at crowley's music store in Cork, Ireland), rivals stevie Ray Vaughan's trademark SRV fave &,,, guys like this, Stevie ray & jeff healey need to be remembered for just how incredibly awesome that they were. (According to legend, this was the very 1st stratocaster to ever reach ireland, & during a talk show interview, jimi hendrix once was asked what it was like to be the greatest guitarist in the world. He responded with “I don’t know, you will have to ask Rory Gallagher”.) Anyway, soak this in ... & appreciate rory's talent & stage presence. He was always all about the music.
