She goes on to say that China is in fact a bigger influence on the world economy than the United States and is the biggest driver of the global economy. The challenge to sustain economic dominance is to join the ranks of rich countries like Japan did after the war. She says that we should not base assumptions about the future based on what we know now in the present.
