Zarasai, a region of lakes with an impressive landscape, has been celebrating 516 years this year. There are 7 lakes in Zarasai alone, and the Zarasai district is surrounded by over three hundred lakes. In Zarasai you can admire the spectacular landscape from the amazing observation wheel, visit the Šlyninkai water mill, where you can bake your own bread and after a short drive there is the wonderful Antazave manor, which recently renovated. Various concerts take place there. You can also see the nearby Tiltiškės watermill, which currently houses a museum of radio receivers and devices, and has a snail farm nearby. Zarasai is full of various entertainment for everyone - from our youngest visitors to the elderly. One of more interesting objects is the recently opened treetop climbing park. The island of Zarasai also has Wake-inn entertainment, where you can go water skiing or water trampoline jumping. A little further on you can see recently renovated big and small outdoor stages, where various summer events take place, and next to the small stage there is an interesting building called the "dome" or “Kupolė” in Lithuanian, which opened on May 28 this year. during the opening of the event season. For those who like a quieter rest, you can visit the Wet Feet and Sculpture Park by Lake Vencavas. And we cannot forget the sculpture park on the island of Zarasai. If you drive a little further you can see the Baltriškės church and the monastery nearby, or the impressive Salakas church, which is built entirely out of stone. Near Zarasai you can also see the Stemužė Oak tree, which has been standing for 2000 years.
