Capri Cowboy Camper Pick Up and Install - An Odyssey of Adventure!

Shadow and I purchased a Capri Cowboy Camper 6.5' Short Bed Model and drove all the way to Bluff Dale, TX to pick it up and have it installed. Capri Camper has been in business since 1969 and build a retro looking, light weight, well insulated, beautiful truck camper. The Cowboy Camper Model, in particular, is a non cabover camper and is lighter and smaller than most slide-in campers. Along the way there we saw much of the beautiful SouthWest, stopped and toured the BillyThe Kid Museum, and made a road trip adventure out of the drive. Here are the specs of the Cowboy Camper I purchased: Camper length in truck: 84" Camper width above truck rails: 84" Camper width between truck wheel wells: 48" Camper interior height: 5" Camper weight dry: approximately 780lbs. My camper with all added features came in at about 940lbs. Features: Fantastic Fan; 100amp AGM Battery; Side Windows; Overhead Cabinets; Sink with hand pump faucet; Catalytic Propane Heater; Window style Airconditioner; 20lb Propane tank; lots of outlets; smoke/CO alarm; fire extinguisher; ridge pine interior; Manual Jacks; Solar Ready. I found the install experience to be excellent and proficient. The owners, Pete and Tyson, take a personal interest in each delivery and order.
