3 Tips to help Recover after a day of Celebration

MC shares three tips to think about when you had a day where you ate and drank way more than planned. 1) Reset; let yesterday's events fade into the past. Return to your typical practices of eating, drinking, and movement. It can be challenging to let behavior from a celebration move into your daily practice. MC shares how having sweets the day before can make pushing that reset button challenging. 2) Drink more water. If you usually drink 64 ounces a day, increase it to 100 or more the day after a celebration. Increasing your hydration can help the body process the calories from food and alcohol. 3) Increase your servings of fruits and veggies. Consuming more high fiber helps your gut keep moving and increases the calories processed by your body. No matter what your celebration habits are. Having a plan post-celebration can be a part of a wellness approach to our lives. Often, when we consume more food, sugar, and alcohol during a celebration, it can be a slippery slope for some, and the idea of returning to your healthy living routine can be difficult. If you plan an approach after a day of celebrating, the plan can be a great tool to lean on the next day, and it too can become your way of dealing with moments of overindulgence, be well, my friends; we have this one precious life.
