My name is Keira Hamilton. I’m a small business owner and SBA loan broker, and this is my series on how to buy a business. Buying a business isn’t something they typically cover in high school. When I was growing up, the idea of being a business owner was nowhere on my radar. I didn’t even think of businesses as things to be bought and sold. Then, in 2023 my husband and I bought a laundromat, and I quickly discovered how much I loved being an operator. My goal with this series is to demystify the business buying process and make entrepreneurship through acquisition more accessible to everyday people.
