Sadly, he had no family around, but the Muslim staff at Morrisons became his family. Last week, he was told he only had a few days to live as he had stage 4 cancer in various parts of his body. He told his Muslim colleagues that he didn’t want his funeral in a church but wanted it to be held at Green Lane Masjid. Alhamdulilah, on Thursday 27th afternoon, after receiving dawah from his close colleagues, Anthony took his shahadah! Allahu Akbar! Only 24 hours later, Anthony returned to Allah on the day of Jummah, SubhanAllah. Inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi rajiuun. What a beautiful ending and a powerful reminder that Allah guides who He wills, when He wills. May Allah grant our brother Anthony Jannatul Firdaus.
