Rebel Raiders: Operation Nighthawk (PS2) Any%

Finally got the sub 3. It's amazing how much better this run is than my last. I won't do a full analysis because this game is too long and bland to do it (I did it last time and it was not great) but I will give some thoughts. Front half is pretty darn good. My skill has increased to the point where I think I might actually be able to finish challenge 3 in less than 9 minutes, it'd be close. The back half is shaky, I was really starting to feel the fatigue set in. Challenge 15 went poorly, I was trying to see if I could speed up the radar destruction in the beginning and apparently I couldn't. Overall I lost about 2 minutes in the last half of the game. Sub 2:50 is definitely possible but I don't know if I can do it. Learning where the enemies will roughly spawn is helping, but I might need something new. If I can indeed beat challenge 3 in, say, 8:30 then It gives me a time budget to work with. The bomber missions have a lot of optimization to do as well. My lacking sense of direction always seems to leave behind one target that I have to go back for. Might just need to grind those levels out and come up with a consistent route. All in all I'm actually pretty happy with this run. I'm amazed that I had such a big gold split on the last mission. I thought my previous one was pretty good. My thumbs hurt.
