In one of the previous episodes, Mr Sriram questioned people about the long-running company in Chennai, where a place is named after it. As we all know it's Parry & Company. It is active for more than 200 years. Normally companies celebrate golden jubilee and Platinum Jubilee. But Parry & Co remains one of the oldest companies in Indian History. Parry & Co is started by Thomas Parry who came from Whales, United Kingdom. He started the business in 1789. He started as a free merchant. Patrick Ross invited Thomas parry to Chennai. Parry lived in India till his last breath. He Died in Cuddalore due to Cholera. He holds the record of starting the first industry in India. There are much more records and Histories are behind the company. Many roads are still named after the Founder and members of Parry. There are still many memories you could not think of.
