Spruce tip harvesting and brewing spruce tip tea | Taival Outdoors

It's again that time of the year to walk around the property and harvest spruce tips. In this video I explain the restrictions for spruce tip foraging in Finland (as it is not part of our "Everyman's rights"), and explain the differences between small and large spruce tips, and show which are my favorite. These same principles apply pretty much to any conifer tips. After harvesting, I brew a pot of spruce tip tea and enjoy the late spring weather in the woods! Finnish Everyman's rights explained https://www.ymparisto.fi/en-us/nature... More information about the special permit to collect spruce tips, chaga, resin, moss and other materials from state-owned forests can be read here, but unfortunately this information is only in Finnish: https://www.metsa.fi/luonnontuoteluvat #sprucetip #bushcraft #wildharvest 🔔 SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/TaivalOutdoor... 📸 INSTAGRAM:   / taival.outdoors   Disclosures At the time of this video, I was an ambassador and testing gear for the following companies: 5.11 Tactical Finland https://511tactical.fi/ -- Taival Outdoors is a channel about the great outdoors, spending time in nature doing everything from day hikes and overnight adventures to bikepacking and multi-day wilderness backpacking. Trekking is close to my heart, but I’m not tied to any particular "genre" like ultralight or bushcraft – instead I do what I've found through my experience in the wild to work the best for me. I'm also making gear reviews and skill videos based on what I actually use and how I operate in nature. Thanks for watching!
