DDD3: Boeing 727 – Part 1: Cool Engineering Ideas on this Trijet Pioneer

In Part 1 of this third Design Deep Dive we review some of the engineering highlights of the Boeing 727-100/200, from its interesting landing gear, through its ‘belts and braces’ yaw damper, to its impressive high lift system. The tour features some beautiful surviving examples of this now very rare bird - M-FTOH, G-OSRA, G-OSRB.
