GERMAN FOOD, BEER & TREATS we (sometimes) miss as GERMANS LIVING IN THE UK// Hello everyone! First of all, we are extremely sad about the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. It all happened when I (Kirsten) was travelling to film for YouTube and it took some days to sink it to be honest. We've had this video already prepared and hope a bit of a distraction is okay. We always get so many questions about what kind of food, beer & treats we sometimes miss as Germans living in the UK. We thought it would be a great idea to film everything we had while visiting our family. Of course it seems like so much but this was filmed over a course of weeks so it would never be something we would have on a daily basis. We came to realise that so many German dishes contain a lot of meat and during the week and at home, we usually eat plant based so this was a huge exception for us. Living in the UK, this is probably one of the big German culture shocks!!
