Hey SKILLZ Friends and Family, Here's this week's 'Drill of the Week!' 🔥 This week we are highlighting another one of my FAVORITE Basic SKILLZ Drills! Program: Basic SKILLZ (5 and 6 yrs.) Skill: MEMORY Drill: 4 Corner Memory Equipment needed: 4 wave bag cushions or similar sized objects Instructors needed: Several to monitor Description: In this drill the students are going to put their reaction skills to the test by racing to the proper corner. Steps: 1. Place one wave bag cushion in each corner of the deck. Have the students stand in the middle of the deck. 2. Designate each corner to be one of the following: ~Blocks ~Kicks ~Stances ~Strikes 3. You will say a martial arts move out loud and the students must run to the corner that is associated with the move. For example: front kick = kicks; middle stance = stances; punch = strikes; high block = blocks 4. If the student runs to the wrong corner, or is the last student to touch the cushion in the correct corner then the student is out and must sit on the side of the deck. 5.
