Jeep Wrangler 3.6 Pentastar Pt 2    • Damaged Lower Intake! Plastic Threads...   Today we have a Jeep Wrangler Sahara with the 3.6 Pentastar engine. The customer states engine oil is leaking and it is a large leak. Be placed the jeep in service mode and began the inspection. It was found that engine oil was leaking off of the valve covers, after lifting the jeep, we found more oil on the back side of the engine and on the transmission. The intake manifold was removed and then the lower intake manifold was removed. Engine oil was found pooling up in the valley between the cylinder heads. The oil cooler assembly was then removed and inspected for leak sources. The o rings were found to be deformed and leaking engine oil.
