Ground was officially broken for Oral Roberts University in 1962 and in summer of 1965 the university was officially opened to 300 students. The christian university, at 777 South Lewis Avenue, was founded by evangelist Oral Roberts who claimed God instructed him to build a university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The architect was Frank Wallace. This film was a TV news report from Clayton Vaughn (KOTV Tulsa) and includes an interview with ORU Executive Vice President John Messick. The film shows the Learning Resources Building, the Health Resources Building, and a dormitory.
