He walked out what was painful because of His understanding. This was the only way as a human He could willingly go to the cross. He understood love which caused Him to be obedient. He was obedient even unto death. What could have caused such strong conviction? A Firm Foundation based in Love”…. I love you family, stay safe in these grinch-mas streets 🎄December is such an interesting month to me, I’m not a huge fan of all the hustle and bustle, the stress of buying for one day only to be awakened by credit card statements on the first of January. Sometimes I ask myself what do we do all of this for? I was reminded today of the simplicity of the manger. The Savior was rejected before He was born and still, He came and faced constant rejection for you and me. The lights and hot cocoa are glamorous. The gingerbread houses are fun. Holiday traditions are beautiful. Ultimately I’m reminded that the baby born in simplicity through rejection changed the course of the world. Sometimes simplicity and rejection carry the most powerful gifts. We wouldn’t recognize the grandeur of what the Lord set before us if it came in the form of rejection, yet it was our salvation that entered the world through bad smells, a bed unfit for a King, and “no room in the inn”. Rejected, yet He is our salvation. You’d be surprised what God is birthing right in front of you in the seemingly ugliest of presentations. 🩶
