Gunnera manicata and Gunnera tinctoria are beautiful plants. Both have very big leaves which are very exotic looking! They look alike, especially if they are small plants. In garden centers 90% of the manicatas are tinctorias, so there is some confusion... How to tell the difference? There are some details in the leaves and the petioles (stems) that are different and the manicata is in everything larger.
