Farberware Countertop Dishwasher E4 Error Code Fix!

Farberware tabletop dishwasher had an E4 code that wouldn’t go away after flushing several times. I read online for a different dishwasher that the error may be due to the leak sensor. So I opened this one up, found a deteriorating foam pad, removed it and all is good again. The leak could have happened from one of many different issues. I’m pretty confident the leak on mine is from water spilling around the unit over time. I cannot find replacement foam pieces, but if I do, I will update here. For anyone who is wondering what I did to flush the unit… I filled both inside and the top fill port several times. When you fill inside, you get a rush of water being dumped. When you fill the top fill port, you get a steady stream/drizzle of water coming out the back. Mine eventually went from milky whitish to clear. Some people seem to have had success just unplugging their washers and tilting the unit on its side, then removing re-plugging it back in. My error would not clear no matter what I tried until this.
