NASA 13-14 Jan 2024 Roebling Rumble, HPDE4 Got a chance to drive a friends car at Roebling Road, M2 has some suspension upgrades but is stock power wise. It rotates much more freely than the Camaro and has a bit more power but lacks some of the lateral grip, probably due to the narrower tires. I drove both the Camaro SS 1LE and this G87 M2 with the same tires; both RE71RS. Both cars did a low 1:17.2 at Roebling road, pushing for pace I think there is at least another second in both cars under the same conditions. It really feels like the M2 would benefit more from grippier or wider tires as it has the power to overpower the tires much easier than the SS1LE. The SS1LE does 415 to the wheels the M2 is probably close to 460. Both cars weighed in on the scales at 3922 lbs (including driver) although I have ballast in my car to compete in time trial (75lbs).
