Day 147, or 21 weeks #PandaStory: Xiao Qi Ji will be turning 5 months old very soon! This video starts and ends with close-ups from yesterday around 1:30pm and early this morning (no audio available). In between you'll see Xiao Qi Ji barking at Mei Xiang, then she bleats, and out to room 3 they go. Later, while in the playpen, Qi Ji again barks at Mei! Early this morning there was a play bout in the playpen, that led to a sweet nursing scene, song included! At 5:45am they're back in the den for some more play, before Mei brings a large stalk of bamboo in there. Xiao Qi Ji seems quite content to play with the stalk, before succumbing to sleep. But not for long as Mei again takes him to room 3 to play (love when momma bears hold their cubs on their bellies during play bouts), before he finally wanders into the den. The final close-ups are taken while the keepers were in room 3 ... if you watch carefully, you'll see when they remove a larger piece of bamboo. And our 21 week old cub goes back to sleep ... sweet dreams little man!
