This tweed Bassman amp once belonged to the bass player for Tennessee Ernie Ford of "Sixteen Tons" fame. According to the current owner, he played this amp in Tennessee's band from 1956 until about 1960 or 1961. This is the 5E6 or 5E6A version of the Bassman with two 5U4 rectifiers, 6L6G or 6L6GB output tubes, two 12AY7 and one 12AX7. This example will get a complete overhaul, including all new Sozo NexGen caps and F&T power caps. At the end, we'll demo it with a Les Paul Jr., a Fender Strat, and a Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass. This is no Mesa Boogie.
