I thought the score was kinda bad for a 2-ALL and that I would improve it later but I never got around to it. Scoring system remains largely the same as in Dodonpachi. You increase the chain gauge in the top-left by destroying enemies and you maintain it by lasering big enemies. If the gauge depletes you break the chain. However for the sequel they also added the hyper mechanic, which adds another layer of depth to the scoring system. By chaining, pointblanking and collecting hidden bees you increase the hyper gauge. Once it fills up a hyper will drop from the top of the screen that you can collect. You can carry up to 5 hypers at a time but you always use them at the same time. The more you collect, the higher the hyper level, the more firepower you get and the more hits you produce by shooting enemies. However enemy bullet speed drastically increases while using a hyper, faster the higher the level is.
