The TideXcell® is the Gentle Giant of Adherent bioprocessing. It is a linearly scalable bioreactor that runs on a patented Tide Motion principle intended for adherent cell culture. The Tide Motion principle provides gentle oscillation of the medium, with extremely low shear stress, foaming, and bubble-free environment for the cells. It offers linear scalability from 2L to 2000L. It also features a TideXcell® cell harvesting system for automated and closed-cell recovery. For decades the biopharma industry has been facing issues with the scale-up of adherent cell cultures, 2D cell stacks, roller bottles, and microbeads are laborious and spatially demanding. The Tide motion platform is linearly scalable for stem cells, exosomes, lentivirus, adeno-associated virus, vaccines, and recombinant protein production. Tide motion asides the packed bed between the nutrients phase and oxygenation phase reducing shear stress on the cells while maximizing oxygen intake.
