Le Shuuk The documentary about the high-flying festival DJ of the last two years. Young, wild, loud and proud - that’s Le Shuuk. For the last two years the charismatic DJ and producer from Stuttgart has been one of the shooting stars of the EDM scene. He rocked the stages at the ULTRA MUSIC EUROPE festival and the LAKE FESTIVAL in Austria in 2016, played the opening track at the 2015 BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME after David Guetta and delivered the closing anthem at the 2016 BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME after Hardwell’s appearance. As a producer, too, Le Shuuk has built up quite a reputation. His “Seth” was backed by EDM superstars such as David Guetta, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Blasterjaxx. “Unicorn” has attracted over 1 million clicks on YouTube and the Zatox remix of Le Shuuk’s “Infinity” version made it to No.2 in the Beatport charts. He supplied the official anthems for the 2015 and 2016 editions of the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME, in the form of “Next To You” and “Take My Hand” (feat. Emma Carn) respectively. And since Volume 22 Le Shuuk has also been mixing the BigCityBeats label compilation, which have all shot into the Top 10 of the official sales charts. In 2016 he had his international breakthrough with Main Stage sets at UNITE – The Mirror to Tomorrowland and the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME Winter Edition with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Other highlights in the calendar of Le Shuuk’s red-letter year were DJ gigs at the Street Parade in Zurich and his sets at an altitude of 10,000 metres on board the BigCityBeats Boeing 747 as it jetted from Paris to Frankfurt via London and Hamburg. Now Le Shuuk has teamed up with Tim Bonkers Videoproduktion and put together a documentary entitled “I’m a Unicorn” charting his 2016 festival season and featuring footage from 14 shows at which the Stuttgart DJ appeared. This recapitulation of what was an amazing summer for him includes highlights from UNITE – The Mirror to Tomorrowland in Gelsenkirchen and the BigCityBeats WORLD CLUB DOME in Frankfurt. The soundtrack to the documentary is made up of tracks and remixes by Le Shuuk and a number of unreleased songs. The doco was motivated by an urge to show the public and his fans what life on tour is like. Predictably, there is no lack of backstage scenes.
