To escape the grip of Earth's gravity forever, we need a velocity of 11.2 km per second or more, which is Earth's escape velocity. But none of the rockets we normally launch from the Earth into space leaves the Earth's gravity without the speed of 11.2 km/s. Let's leave the matter of the rocket. Every time we climb an upward step, we go up against the Earth's gravity. But at that time, we don't get this extreme speed anyway.
