Every year Rotuman people celebrate what we call "Fara" where we dance and sing and celebrate the ending and beginning of a new year and is very unique to our culture. Fara (Which means "to ask" in Rotuman) is a traditional Rotuman cutlural and social event, occurring in the summertime festival of "Av' Manea" (Party Time) where groups of people of singers and dancers travel from house to house to perform and entertain their hosts.
