Real talk: publishing isn't fair. It's not a meritocracy, where if you just work hard enough, you can make it. While hard work is important, it is only one piece of the puzzle. In the video, I'm gonna lay it out for you: what role talent, hard work and luck play in publishing, and why you shouldn't begrudge anyone else their success. VERY IMPORTANT disclaimer: This is only covering one angle of this topic, which is the top level metric of what it takes to get a book deal (and that publishing isn't fair).
