5kaiは2017年、 松村了一(Gt./Vo.)と太田(Ba.) により京都で結成された。 ミニマルな構成とソリッドな音像から成る楽曲で知られ、独自のスタイルでインディペンデントな活動を続けている。 2023年にアルバム「行」をリリースし、そのストイックな完成度により多方面から高い評価をうけた。 また、結成当初からサポートとして参加していた若松(Dr.)が正式メンバーとして加入。 ライブではサポートに和田大樹(Dr./Gt.)を迎え、ツインドラムを主とした幅広い表現でパフォーマンスを行なう。 5kai was formed in Kyoto in 2017 by Ryoichi Matsumura (Gt./Vo.) and Ota (Ba.). They is known for their songs with minimalist structures and solid sound images, and continues to be an independent artist with their own unique style.
