Section hike of the Alta Via 1 in Italy

After hitching from France to Italy and hopping several trains to the Sudtirol region, Andrew and I decided to set off on a section of the AV1 with no plans or expectations. It was no surprise that the Dolomites were stunning (and the food was world-class) but I didn't think I'd enjoy this hike as much as I did. We ended up hiking from Niederdorf to the start at Lago di Braies, as the buses were all fully booked, then we made our way to Passo Staulanza in three days. This definitely won't be my last time in the region and the next trip will be much longer! Thanks for watching.
