Bowie's Birthday Party: Sound & Vision Celebration in NYC (Wed, Jan 8th 2020)

The joyous and excellent 'Sound & Vision of David Bowie: A Celebration' had it's second night at The Cutting Room in NYC and I attended thanks to having LE HOOK UP so naturally filmed a decent portion of the evening for your enjoyment here. Let it be known that this is incomplete and the sometimes changing of camera angles are less me trying to be Kazan and more because my arm gets tired and people bump into me, even in an elevated VIP section. I give you this disclaimer because of past experience when an outraged Bowie fan leaves a comment reminding me a specific song is cut off. For the most part, there's a lot here before my camera battery waned and I hope you enjoy this glimpse into it. I have never seen any of Michael C. Hall's work as an actor so had no bias or conception of him really; he was very very good and got the tone and voice of the songs he performed quite well. Cat Russell doing 'Hang on to Yourself' is also a great time. My thanks to Mark Plati and everyone else involved in this night.
