The words "my dream house" were repeated several times during our stay at Not Forgotten, but there is a lot more to it than just that... Yzerfontein made it onto our radar just in time to include it on our South African road trip and we are certainly glad it did! Ocean air fills the streets, the sound of crashing waves becomes your calming mantra and the village welcomes you in without saying a word. Honestly, it was a little weird to see just how quiet it really was when we arrived, but after getting used to it, we wouldn't have it any other way! There is nothing but you and the sea... Okay, well there are a few cute restaurants, a beautiful boardwalk and nearby access to the West Coast National Park which is downright spectacular!
