The first step is to visit www.ustraveldocs.com to determine what type of visa you should apply for, and what specific documents you will need. First, choose your location. Then select “Nonimmigrant” visa. Review the visa categories and necessary documents carefully because selecting the wrong visa class or failing to supply the required documents may significantly delay your visa application. Once you know which visa you are applying for, complete and submit the DS-160 visa application form online. All applicants, including children, must have their own DS-160 visa application. The next step is to pay the visa application fee. To learn more about the fees for each visa category and bank locations where fees can be paid, click on “Visa Fees”. When you’re ready to make your visa fee payment, visit the homepage and select “Apply now”. On the first page, if you are not registered you will need to create an account.
