Hiking the West Highland Way

The West Highland Way is a 96 mile long distance hiking trail that runs from Milngavie on the outskirts of Glasgow, to Fort William in the Western Scottish Highlands. This walk took us through incredible scenery; along the wooded banks of Loch Lomond, across the wilderness of Ranch Moor, over the mountains above Glencoe and finished just below Ben Nevis - Britain’s highest mountain. Derek and I wild camped and took everything we needed along the way, re-supplying in the towns when needed. Our focus was not to rush the trail, but to instead take time to enjoy the scenery and our time in nature. It took us a total of 6.5 days in May 2022 and below are the places we stopped along the way if you are interested in our itinerary. I hope you enjoy this video, there is less of me talking to camera along the way as I wanted to focus more on the scenery, trail and experience rather than rambling on too much!
