Railfanning the 2018 LA Union Station Trainfest

Yesterday, I attended the 2018 Summer Trainfest, which unfortunately wasn’t as good as last year’s (which I missed). There were only five PVs, two Superliners, a Surfliner coach, a Cab Car (which we didn’t even get to go into and blow the horn), the OLS car, and an F125 (which despite I hate, I would love to get a tour of the locomotive). They didn’t even give us too much info about the PVs; we just had to keep walking down the aisle of each car and boy with a crying toddler and having to turn back at the dome cars, it was pure chaos. What would’ve made the event better was if they brought out one of the Siemens SC-44 Chargers (even though I hate those locomotives too). To make matters worse, when I tried to catch AMTK 507 pulling the display set back to the yards, a defective air hose on the “Utah” PV ended up costing me the catch (if I had 30 more minutes, I may have been able to catch it but by the time the mechanics got a new air hose, my train was already due to depart). I did however get some amazing power at Fullerton as well as some awesome catches at LAUPT as well as met up with some new railfanners (you guys know who you are) and an old-time friend The Western State Kid.
