CJI DY Chandrachud ordered Mohammad Akbar Lone, a Lok Sabha legislator and the chief petitioner against the Union of India in the Article 370 case, to submit an affidavit reaffirming his allegiance to India. Mohammad Akbar Lone, who is associated with the pro-Pakistan National Conference, is the focus of this request. At the same time Lone's lawyer Kapil Sibal told the court that he isn't responsible for his petitioner's act. He also added that his petitioner Lone has never challenged the sovereign part of India. Government asserted that Mohammad Akbar Lone openly expresses his loyalty to Pakistan.
