FKT Onion Valley - Roads End yo-yo in a day

This route is the shortest east-west traversal of the Sierra Nevada. It connects Onion Valley trailhead on the east in Independence to Roads End in the western Sierra. At 21.2 miles one way, I knew I could double up with an out and back in one day. I noticed no one has posted an out and back time to the FKT site so I submitted mine. The route begins with Kearsarge Pass trail going over Kearsarge Pass, then follows Bullfrog Lake trail to JMT. You that south to Bubbs Creek trail then follow that all the way down to Roads End. From the top of Kearsarge, it’s all downhill to Roads End, so it’s all uphill on the way back. Bubbs Creek is impressive, there’s plenty of water and shade on that whole section. It’s relentless though. Didn’t shoot much video on the way back, I was really sore and tired 🥱
