MBT demands Justice for Firdous Begum: Amjed Ullah Khan (Spokesman) MBT today visited Shapur, Jeedimetla Road and met the family members of Firdous Begum who was married 45 days back and found dead in her in-laws house in Ghouse Nagar Bandlaguda. Mr Khan met Syed Jehangir (father) and Shabana Begum (Mother) and consoled them. Both parents are very poor and they sell fruits in Rythu Bazars in a rented Auto. Shabana Begum (Age-19) was married to Mohammed Iqbal on 5th Nov 2020. Syed Jehangir was having four daughters and three sons and Shabana Begum was the eldest daughter. Syed Jehangir gave everything from Two Tolas of Gold to Washing Machine & Fridge as demanded in dowry and is having Rs/ 6.0 lakhs as debts inspite of loosing her eldest daughter. Irony of the incident is the lukewarm response from Chandrayangutta Police who didn't acted fast on this case. Mr Khan demanded that the said case should be on fast track court with a special public prosecutor and the judgement should come with in a year until then the police should see that accused is denied bail. Mr Khan said inspite of Telangana having a Muslim as a Home Minister, Mr Mehmood Ali didn't had a little courtesy to console the parents of a Firdous Begum nor the local TRS MLA Vivek Goud or Corporator R Shesgiri Rao visited and consoled the family. Mr Khan requested Sri K Chandrashekar Rao Honble Cheif Minister Govt of Telangana to announce an ex-gratia of Rs/ 10.0 lakhs with a two bedroom flat to the family as they are from very poor background. Mr Khan also appealed to those who are doing charity to help this family by donating some amount.
