Ultron Theme | Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) was criticised heavily for its overuse of humour, when the trailers portrayed the film and villain as having a dark, menacing tone. When the film was released I payed very little attention to the soundtrack, as I was disappointed by the lack of Alan Silvestri’s Avengers theme, and was not a fan of the remix by Danny Elfman. Upon re-listening though, I’ve found that the score has many recurring themes, including a menacing, creepy theme for Ultron, that I did not notice in the film. The theme ironically uses very few synthesisers or techno samples, playing more with the philosophical aspect of Ultron, rather than the metallic shell. The theme reminds me of something from Eastern Europe.
